What is Junior Ace?
Junior Ace is a next-step program that blends skill development, on-course play, and leadership through the First Tee Life Skills Experience, in a fun, supportive environment.
Who it’s for:
Young golfers age 12-15 who …
- enjoy golf and want to keep improving & competing
- are ready to practice with more intention and play more on-course
- want to see how far golf can take them in life
- intend to become part of the ACE program at age 15-16
What players can expect:
More focused coaching and feedback
More time playing and learning on the course
Access to some of the best local instructors in all aspects of the game
Continued emphasis on confidence, character, and teamwork
A welcoming group that keeps it fun and encouraging
How to join
Applications are now closed. Space is limited to just 12 individuals in the first year.
This new player development initiative empowers a highly deserving group of young golfers with the opportunity to advance their golf skills, as well as build leadership, confidence, and life skills.
We are fully-funded for this new program, and for those who would like to take their game to the next level, we invite you to apply.

Minimum Eligibility:
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Age:
- 12–15 years old (at the time of application).
- Active Participant:
- Participated in at least one season of First Tee – Greater Seattle programming in 2025.
- Commitment:
- Attend regularly (75% of meetings or more)
- Represent First Tee values on and off the course
- Plan to participate .
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, applicants who meet the following will receive priority consideration.
1. Demonstrated Financial Need
• Preference for applicants who would benefit from reduced-barrier access to advanced development opportunities.
• Families may optionally provide context regarding financial circumstances or participation in aid-eligible programs.
2. Track Record of Involvement with First Tee
• High engagement of participation in First Tee classes, PGA Jr. League, Junior Advisory Board, volunteer opportunities, or special events.
• Demonstrated progression in character development, golf skills, or leadership traits aligned with the First Tee Key Commitments to becoming a Game Changer.
3. Commitment to Growth
• Clear interest in improving both golf and life skills.
• Willingness to set goals, accept coaching, and work through challenges.
• Demonstrated responsibility – strong attendance history, follow-through, and respect for coaches and peers.
4. Positive Role-Model Behavior
• Shows kindness, respect, and integrity with other participants.
• Takes initiative to support younger participants or contribute to a welcoming team culture.
5. Diversity of Backgrounds and Experiences
• First Tee welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. Consideration may be given to students whose lived experiences will help strengthen the inclusiveness of the cohort.
